Start by deciding what model you want. Use Reptime Radar's Catalog to browse by brand, or the Factory Rankings to see which factory makes the best version.
Key decisions: - Brand and model (e.g., Rolex Submariner 126610LN) - Factory (e.g., VSF, ARF, BTF) -- check the "Who Makes the Best" rankings - Movement type: clone movement (more accurate, more expensive) or Asian movement (cheaper, reliable) - Budget: Super clones run $300-600, mid-tier $150-300
Only buy from Trusted Dealers (TDs) verified by forums like RWI, RWG, or RepGeek. Never Google a dealer name -- scam sites clone TD names and rank high on search engines.
Use Reptime Radar's Dealer Directory for verified URLs and community ratings. Popular TDs include Geektime (Eric), The One Watches (Steve), Andiot, Hont, Jtime, and Puretime.
Most TDs prefer WhatsApp or Telegram for communication. Some also accept email.
Message format: "Hi, I'm interested in [Factory] [Model] [Reference]. Is it in stock?"
The dealer will confirm availability and quote a price. Prices vary 10-20% between dealers for the same watch.
Common payment methods: - Wise (formerly TransferWise) -- cheapest, fastest, most TDs prefer this - Cryptocurrency (BTC, USDT) -- some TDs offer 5-10% discount - PayPal Friends & Family -- some TDs accept this for established buyers - Credit card -- available on some TD websites but higher risk of card fraud
Never send money via Western Union to an unverified dealer. Always verify the TD's URL against forum sources first.
After payment, the dealer orders your watch from the factory (or pulls from stock). Within 3-14 days, you'll receive QC (Quality Control) photos.
These are photos of YOUR specific watch unit. Review them carefully: - Index alignment - Dial printing accuracy - Date wheel centering - Bezel alignment - Bracelet/SEL fit - Timegrapher readings (if provided)
Respond with GL (Green Light = approve) or RL (Red Light = reject and request replacement).
See the QC Photo Guide for detailed inspection tips.
After GL, the dealer ships your watch. Typical shipping: - EMS: 10-20 days, cheapest, moderate customs risk - DHL/FedEx: 5-10 days, faster but higher customs risk - Triangle shipping: ships to a transit country first, then to you (lower customs risk)
Most TDs include a customs seizure warranty -- if your watch is seized, they'll replace it free. Keep the tracking number and check status on 17Track.
Important: Never sign for a package from customs. If you receive a customs letter, ignore it and contact your TD.
